Packers Trends

Among the relevant trends here, the Packers are 27-22-1 against the spread (ATS) over the last three-plus seasons. That’s $280 from a straight $110 bet. In that period, Green Bay posted middling ATS marks when playing on the road (12-12-1 … minus-$120) and serving as the betting underdog (7-6-1 … $40).

For the month of September, however, the Packers own robust ATS marks with overall record (9-4 … $460), facing NFC competition (7-4 … $260) and being the betting underdog (4-0 … $400). The Packers are 1-4-1 ATS in their last six games against the 49ers when the 49ers average more than 20 points per game.

After two weeks of 2021 action, the Packers rank among the bottom 10 in four major categories: 26th overall in scoring offense (19.0 points per game), 27th in passing offense (206.5 yards per contest), 28th in rushing offense (69.5 yards per game) and 29th in total offense (276.0 yards per contest).

49ers Trends

Among the relevant trends, San Francisco posted a 7-9 ATS record last season (minus-$290), along with ATS marks of 2-6 at home (minus-$460), 5-7 versus NFC competition (minus-$270) and 2-6 as the betting favorite (minus-$460).

Dating back to the 2018 season, the 49ers have a 6-6 ATS record during the month of September (minus-$60), including a 1-1 ATS mark in 2021 (minus-$10). The 49ers are 1-8 ATS in their last nine games when they have a win streak of two or more.

After two weeks of NFL action, San Francisco ranks in the top 20 with scoring offense (eighth overall, 29.0 points per game), rushing offense (ninth overall, 124.0 yards per contest), passing offense (14th, 250.0 yards per game) and total offense (17th, 374.0 yards per contest).

Total Trends

The Packers have eclipsed the Over in just 16 of their last 34 games dating back to the 2019 season (minus-$380). The 49ers own a 17-16-1 record with the Over during the same span of regular-season games (minus-$60). All combined, that’s a 33-34-1 track record with the Over (minus-$440 or, if betting the Under, minus-$230).

Regarding the Week 3 O/U of 50 points, when charting the teams’ last six head-to-head meetings during the regular season (dating back to 2012), the cumulative scoring average shakes out to 48.9 points — just short of Sunday’s O/U figure.

In other notable trends, the Packers tallied a 5-4 ATS record last season when coming off an ATS victory (minus-$60). The Packers are 8-0 ATS in their last eight games when outgained by their previous opponent by more than 20 yards ($800). Also, Green Bay has a 1-4-1 ATS record in its last six games against San Francisco, when the 49ers average more than 20 points per game (minus-$330).
