This week, BetPrep Sharp Brad Feinberg discusses his top MLB and NFL futures (as of July 20, 2022) and some Juan Soto talk with host and BetPrep Editor Michael Salfino of The Athletic and FiveThirtyEight. Futures include the St. Louis Cardinals, Aaron Rodgers, Chase Young, Trevon Diggs, the Jacksonville Jaguars, Detroit Lions, and more.

Here’s an excerpt from that episode:

Chase Young Under 8.5 Sacks

Brad Feinberg: Let’s look at Chase Young, who I like as a player. I thought he’d be Defensive Player of the Year last year in the summer. But we have to be objective here. Rookie year, 2020: 15 games, 7.5 sacks. Year 2, 2021, nine games, 1.5 sacks, blown ACL. So nine career sacks in 24 career games and you are telling me he’s getting nine sacks in 17 games tops off a devastating knee injury. I’m going to make him prove he can do that. I think this is a great bet. Young has a reputation as a sack specialist but has yet to prove it; and this is the kind of number we expect from a player who is a top rusher, especially one coming off a serious injury and who may not be 100% for part of the season. (Average time to full recovery from an ACL injury is 18 months.)
