Cleveland Guardians To Win AL Central (+1000)
Brad’s Take: I just love this bet. As we go to tape here, Cleveland is plus-26 in run differential, just a run behind the Twins in the division. The White Sox somehow are the favorite and even though they were a favorite preseason bet of mine I have to just admit now that they are not a good team. Their hitting has suffered a rash of injuries. No one has really overachieved except Michael Kopech. Their pitching is a major disappointment. I thought Lucas Giolito could win a Cy Young but we’re a third of the way through the season and his WHIP is over 1.40. They’re one of the worst defensive teams and have the worst defensive outfield in baseball, according to Statcast.
The AL Central is a pretty open division, and pro bettor @Bradsbestbets is feeling the Cleveland disrespect on their price to win it. But that disrespect could be profitable, on Givin' Futures with @MichaelSalfino of @TheAthletic.

Now let’s look at Cleveland, Shane Bieber is still seemingly an All-Star despite the drop in velocity. And the big thing for them that they had to have is Triston McKenzie emerging as an ace-caliber pitcher. Of course, they also have a top MVP candidate in Joe Ramirez, having his best season to date, by far. I already have bet the Twins heavily and think that the Guardians are clearly at least as likely to win and well ahead of the White Sox. But the sportsbooks making the White Sox the favorite has made Cleveland such a great value.
