This week, BetPrep Sharp Brad Feinberg discusses his top MLB and NFL futures (as of July 20, 2022) and some Juan Soto talk with host and BetPrep Editor Michael Salfino of The Athletic and FiveThirtyEight. Futures include the St. Louis Cardinals, Aaron Rodgers, Chase Young, Trevon Diggs, the Jacksonville Jaguars, Detroit Lions, and more.

Here’s an excerpt from that episode:

Trevon Diggs Over 4.5 Interceptions

Brad Feinberg: I think he’s a good player. I know that the ranking systems like Pro Football Focus don’t even think he’s a good corner in coverage; but even if they’re right, that sort of helps us with this bet. Usually, a top corner gets avoided, especially one who was not only in the Pro Bowl but who was All-Pro. Teams targeted Diggs 101 times last year, that’s eighth most. And he allowed nearly 1,100 receiving yards, the most of any corner. If Diggs is prone to giving up big plays because he gambles so much, teams will throw at him. And because he gambles so much, he’s likely to get his five picks. He just had the most picks of anyone this century. We haven’t seen interception numbers like he put up in decades. It’s not a fluke because he has great hands – remember he’s Stefon Diggs’ brother. (Diggs also faces the weakest divisional slate of QBs, arguably.)
