Jacksonville Jaguars

Among the relevant trends here, the Jaguars are 21-31-2 against the spread (ATS) over the last three-plus seasons. That’s minus-$1,310 from a straight $110 bet. In that period, Jacksonville posted subpar ATS marks when on the road (11-14-1, minus-$1540), serving as the betting underdog (17-22-2, minus-$720) and facing NFC competition (3-10, minus-$800). The 2021 ATS numbers are similarly shaky, with the Jaguars going 2-4 overall (minus-$240), 1-1 versus teams with losing records (minus-$10) and 2-3 as the betting underdog (minus-$130). Citing other notable trends, the Jaguars are 7-1 ATS in their last eight games, when passing for 250-plus yards the previous outing ($590). Conversely, Jacksonville has a 1-9 ATS mark from its last 10 games when the weekly opponent’s implied odds to win are less than 65 percent (minus-$890). After seven weeks of play, the Jaguars offense ranks 10th in rushing offense (121.8 ground yards per game), 15th in total offense (356.6 yards per week), 18th in passing offense (234.2 yards per game) and 27th in scoring offense, averaging 19.3 points per contest.

Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks have produced tangible ATS gains over the last three-plus seasons. For this period, the team has a 28-24-3 overall record ($160), 14-12-1 mark at home ($80) and 9-5-1 record against AFC competition ($350). For the month of October, Seattle also has a respectable 8-6 ATS record since 2018 ($140). The 2021 ATS numbers have been largely positive, with Seattle sporting a 3-1 overall record ($190), 1-0 mark versus AFC foes ($100) and 2-1 when kicking off in the Pacific Time Zone ($90). Citing another notable trend, the Seahawks are 14-0-2 ATS in their last 16 games ($1400), when the club’s carrying an ongoing streak of two or more losses. (Seattle has dropped three straight.) For the season, the Seahawks offense ranks 17th in rushing offense (107.7 ground yards per week), 21st in scoring offense (21.4 points per game), 26th in total offense (218.4 yards per week) and 28th in passing offense (218.4 yards per game).

Total Trends

The Jaguars have exceeded the Over in 18 of their last 38 games, including two pushes, dating back to 2019 (minus-$180). The Seahawks have fared even worse with the Over, going 17-21-1 (minus-$610) during the same span of regular-season action. All combined, that’s a 35-39-3 track record with the Over (minus-$790) or, if betting the Under, plus-$50. For 2021, Jacksonville and Seattle are 2-4 and 2-5 with the Over, respectively, for a combined 4-9 (minus-$590). Here’s one notable trend: The Seahawks are also 0-8 with the Over when tracking the team’s last eight games of the weekly opponent missing the playoffs the previous season (minus-$880).
